Lighting & Low-Voltage Work in Austin, TX

A media wall reads as finished when power reaches the screen without a visible cord and the lighting is tuned to the screen instead of competing with it. We handle the low-voltage and lighting work around a mounting project. Fixture swaps, accent lighting, and the listed in-wall power kit that makes clean wire concealment possible.

Method

The way we do it

In-wall power behind the screen

A listed in-wall power kit, rated for this exact use, carries power from an existing outlet to a recessed plate behind the TV so the concealed cable has somewhere to land. No new wiring is added to the house.

Bias and accent lighting

Low-glare LED lighting behind or around the screen, sized to reduce eye strain without washing out Art Mode or a dim room.

Fixture and fan swaps

Pendants, sconces, and ceiling fans hung on properly rated boxes.

Clear limits, stated up front

No new outlets or circuits, no panel work, no permit-level jobs. That is licensed electrical work in Texas, and for it we refer a licensed electrician we trust.

What it costs

Priced per project, in writing first

Home Finishing is quoted by the project from your list or photos, before anything is booked. The pricing page explains how we price mounting, finishing, and combined projects.

FAQ

Lighting & Low-Voltage questions

Can you add an outlet behind a mounted TV?

We install a listed in-wall power kit that extends an existing outlet to a recessed plate behind the screen, which is what most hidden-cord installs actually need. A brand-new outlet or circuit is licensed electrical work, and we refer a licensed electrician for that.

Do you install bias lighting behind the TV?

Yes, low-glare LED strips sized and positioned so they support Art Mode and movie nights without competing with the screen.

What electrical work is outside what you do?

New outlets, new circuits, panel work, and anything permit-level. We say so up front and can refer a licensed electrician for that scope.

Can you install a ceiling fan or statement fixture?

Yes, provided the box is fan-rated, or we install a rated brace first, which is included in the quote.
